The following has graced my inbox from the RSPCA:

    “Hello everyone,

Next Saturday is our annual pets’ party. Come on out to the animal shelter at Weston from 3.00pm for a great afternoons entertainment. We have a jazz band, wine and cheese tasting, plenty of dogs games and an array of market stalls.

Get behind a great cause, support RSPCA.

Check our website for details: www.rspca-act.org.au

    See you there!!”

UPDATED: The event has now been cancelled with the following note:

Today’s RSPCA ACT Pets’ Party has been cancelled following advice from the Bureau of Meteorology and severe inclement weather expected in the ACT this afternoon.

We are hoping to reschedule for December 13 – further advice will be issued in the next day or so.

    Michael Linke
    CEO | RSPCA ACT

maybe the ferret could enter the dog games and whoop their tails? cats’d have no chance but – no room is too small to swing a cat.

fnaah, inclemency can be simply light showers, so ‘severe’ inclement weather would be something akin to a major storm, so not strictly a tautology.

As this event is canicentric, I am obliged to denounce it.

Provide some ferret games!

HAHA, add in the times said “Rain, hail or shine”……but obviously not severe inclement weather.

Was looking forward to this during the week but was rethinking based on todays weather (soft I know). Hopefully 13December will be better.

We need a Tautology of the Week award. I nominate Michael Linke for “severe inclement weather”.
