arboretum view

Linda has sent in these pictures with this note:

I took these two photos when visiting the National Arboretum whilst it was open during Floriade.

One image is taken from the lookout, and the other is a close up of one of the young Monkey Puzzle trees.

Enjoy

Hear, hear.

Before the fires I used to love going to Blundell’s Arboretum, but it was totally destroyed.

Nasty dead thing, although no doubt an interesting composition.. seems symbolic of present ACT existence, empty symbolic aspirations eating up real life… No wonder my elder adult kids say Canberra is dead, not just dieing.. they live happily & excitingly interstate.. my younger adult offspring say F### it, Canberra is not a place to live a real life , exemplified by What a Try Hard Thing the Arbortetium is !! I, myself think how valuable trees are, both the future & gardens should be planned for. But what are we Canberran humans missing out on, now? I presume, not many are struggling to exist on a low income here. Thus, I cannot help but reflect how ignorant the present Marie Antoinettes are, aspiring to a future in which they are completely irrelevant unknowns, mere relicts of a selfish shallow world

go eat some cake.

Very nice! I like the composition of the view and I love the close-up of the Monkey Puzzle Tree.
