Here’s an interesting listing on Canberra Calendar:

Hear stories about how indigenous people survived in this area in the past. Learn about the tools, weapons and artefacts that were crucial to their survival. Meet at the Visitor Centre. Bookings essential on 6205 1233.

Sounds like a good one for those trying to entertain inquisitive kids.

Not yet. Fees re-instated/introduced/imposed from Sat01Aug09.

Probably justified- the post ’03 fires redevelopment is apparently pretty extensive & well thought, including heated rocks to encourage the wildlife to stay in view in weather like this (actually, like a cat on a (heated) mat).

As a student of archaeology and anthropology it is essential.

I quite agree, nothing like starting your education in your own backyard 🙂

As a student of arch/anth this would be very interesting…

There’s a cool rock at Tidbinbilla that has evidence of indigenous habitation – only a 100 or so meter walk from the road too…Have a look – good excuse to get bush too 🙂

I just assumed the story was about the latest raid on a massey
