ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident involving a man exposing himself indecently at the Tuggeranong Hyperdome yesterday (Sunday, February 6).

Around 11.30am, police received a report from the Hyperdome’s security staff that a man was indecently exposing himself in his car in the lower carpark at the shopping centre.

Police located the man and the car a short time later in the carpark at the Tuggeranong Swimming Pool. The man is assisting police with enquiries.

Several members of the public reported the man to customer service staff at the Hyperdome yesterday between 9am to 11am, and police are keen to speak with these witnesses.

Anyone who may have seen the man indecently exposing himself yesterday morning at the Tuggeranong Hyperdome carpark are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.

A friend and I have actually come across a man sitting in his car naked in the car park outside of Dickson pool entrance with cash sitting on the ground outside his door. Upon handing the money to him we realised he was starkers. Really perverted and creepy i just wish we kept the money and ran……

Obviously people get upset by indecent exposure and not so much by decent exposure. I will put my hand up as being ignorant on the subject – what really is the impact of this? Is it fear or does the brain get filled with bad visions?

Would you know a man was indecently exposing himself in his car unless you had your nose practically pushed up against the windows?? I’m hoping there is something more to this and it wasn’t just some overly sensitive git dobbing in a guy who was getting changed in/out of his running/gym/swimmers etc.

Presumably you’d be ok with this bloke getting his wang out in front of your wife/mother/daughter?

Good advice for the ladies as mentioned above (to be said in a loud voice while pointing) “oh look, just like a penis, but smaller!!!”

What a waste of police time. He wasn’t harming anybody, nobody was being hurt. Just another example of how prudish we’ve become.

WTF? I’ve read some very odd things on this site, but that takes the cake.

Yes, he was harming someone. Yes, people were being hurt.

It’s not the sight of some arsehats spotty little dick that’s the problem. It’s the implicit threat of what might come next. Say you’re a 16 year old girl walking across the carpark at a pool in your bikini, and a man comes at you with his erect penis sticking out of his pants. You might be excused for thinking that you’re next on the list to be raped and perhaps killed. This would not be a positive life experience for you.

Dick.

Did YOU get caught flashing at the Hyperdome did you Slick? What questions did the Police ask you when they picked you up?

“So people stated they saw what looks like a penis, only it was a lot smaller, what can you say about that?”

If he was hanging around a pool he probably targets children.

Presumably you’d be ok with this bloke getting his wang out in front of your wife/mother/daughter? Or were you just being facetious?

That’s gold !!!!!!!

When I was at school my sister and I were walking to the bus stop and a man jumped out from some bushes and exposed himself to us. His mistake though, was doing it within legs reach. My sister screamed and I kicked the guy really hard in the balls and he went down screaming as loud and girly as my sister was. The (rather amused) cops never found him, and I often wonder if he ever tried it again.
