Update | Rural road closures in ACT

Motorists and other road users are advised of the following rural road closures due to the recent wet weather and snow.

Roads and crossings closed:

  • Sunshine Crossing
  • Angle Crossing
  • unsealed section of Boboyan Road (except four wheel drive vehicles)
  • unsealed section of Brindabella Road (except four wheel drive vehicles)
  • Mount Franklin Road at Bulls Head
  • Bendora Road
  • Warks Road
  • Booroomba Rocks Road
  • Orroral Ridge Road
  • Corin Road from Square Rock car park.

Changed traffic arrangements are also in place at the intersection of Paddys River Road and Corin Road. Access is not recommended for two-wheel drive vehicles.

Traffic controllers will remain on site until nightfall to advise on conditions and vehicle suitability for traffic travelling towards Corin Forest.

A reduced speed limit of 40 kmh is in place.

People are advised to drive to current conditions and use caution on unsealed reserve and forestry roads such as fire trails and management roads.

Motorists are also reminded not to drive through flooded low-level crossings for any reason and not to remove or damage road closure barriers.
