Uriarra pine fire

The fire is two hectares in size and located in Uriarra Pine Forest off Brindabella Road.

The fire is currently being controlled.

Three tankers and three light units have responded to the scene.

There is currently no properties are under threat.

2:03 PM

Firefighters are continuing to work on extinguishing the small blaze in the Uriarra Pine Forest.

The fire is located off East West Road, several kilometres south west of Uriarra Village and is now approximately 4 to 5 hectares in size.

No properties are currently under threat with the fire being controlled.

Six ACT Rural Fire Service heavy tankers, one Compressed Air Foam (CAFS) Unit from ACT Fire and Rescue and two light units are on scene.

2:43 PM

The fire is 5 hectares in size and being controlled.

There are now 10 tankers and 2 light units on scene.

There are no properties under threat. The fire is burning in a westerly direction away from Uriarra Village.

3:37 PM

The fire is now contained.

Crews will remain on scene strengthening containment lines and conducting mopping up operations over the next few hours.
