Venues to watch the WorldCup?

By 2 June 2014 11

Daniel has asked about venues to watch WorldCup matches in Canberra:

“Hey I am looking to watch the England Vs Italy world cup game on June 15th at 8am. Does anyone know of any pubs or bars that would show it!!!!!!?”

Makes me wonder if there is anywhere in Canberra showing the matches across the competition?

“Every” bar? That’s pushing it. Especially at 8am.

I’d check with somewhere like the Tradies Club or Hellenic Club.

I’ve been trying to find out during the week and the best I’ve come up with is:

Southern Cross Club are hosting a breakfast for the Aussie game on Saturday

Vikings town Centre will show all games that are on during their opening hours (until 4am)

Lighthouse in Belconnen appear to be open and showing the games. Also if you feel partial to a Mother, Skyy vodka and Midori at 8am, they appear to have that covered too.
