ACT Rescue and Foster (ARF) is an incorporated association of people in the Canberra (Australia) and surrounding region who rescue dogs from euthanasia and foster them temporarily in our own homes for as long as it takes to find them loving, permanent homes.

We are looking for people who may be interested in becoming a foster carer and are holding a Foster Care Information Session to answer all your questions.

When: Sunday 10 April 2011
Time: 1500hrs (3pm)
Where: Private Dining Room, Canberra Southern Cross Club Woden
RSVP: committee@fosterdogs.org

Fostering is a very rewarding experience and is great socialisation for your own dog or a great way to have a dog if you can’t keep one permanently due to travel. We take in dogs of all shapes and sizes and they are matched to your lifestyle to make it as easy as possible.

Please come along or for further information contact committee@fosterdogs.org

It’s good to see ARF surviving and thriving. They perform a vital service.

I just wanted to say good on you. We got our dog through ARF 9 years ago and she has been a beloved and happy dog since. (from Lyn if she still fosters with you).

Thanks TAD. Lyn is indeed still fostering for ARF. The gorgeous Bull Terrier X Jack Russell on the poster in the bottom right of the poster is Lyn’s latest conquer.

Of course adoptions from rescue groups are just as important as foster carers so it is always great to hear a happy ending.
