A new memorial has been proposed for the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, honouring War Correspondents who made the ultimate sacrifice to report on conflict.
According to Australian War Memorial director Brendan Nelson, war correspondents play an integral part in preserving Australia’s war history.
The Memorial will be built in the War Memorial’s sculpture garden, set into a slope and represent an all seeing eye.
Completion is currently aimed for the end of 2015
