Watson drug bust

ACT Policing has arrested a 50-year-old woman and seized a quantity of drugs after executing a search warrant on a residence in Watson yesterday (Tuesday, 15 October).

Police executed the warrant on the residence around 8am yesterday, and the subsequent search located 22.75 grams of a substance suspected to be heroin, and a quantity of cannabis.

The woman was conveyed to the ACT Watch House and charged with drug trafficking and possession. She will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.

ACT Policing is currently running a three-month campaign targeting illicit drugs in the community. Police urge anyone with information on the manufacturing or dealing of illicit drugs to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Rewards of up to $1000 may apply, reports can be provided anonymously.
