Poptop has kindly sent in some words and pictures from this weekend’s Weston Creek Bonsai Show:

The Weston Creek Bonsai Group is holding its annual Autumn Show
over this weekend at the Weston Creek Community Centre.

I went along, as recommended by the roadside signs, to marvel at the beauty of the autumn colours of the bonsai plants. And here is some pictorial evidence of same.

The show runs from 10am-4.30pm on Saturday & 10am – 4pm on Sunday.

Admission $4, concession $3, children under 12 free.

Here’s a slideshow:

Bonsais are strange plants. I bought one a few years back and it didn’t grow at all, it just stayed the same size. It looks like the ones in the photo gallery suffer the same problem. I got rid of it and bought a sapling from the garden centre which thankfully grew to the proper size.

Groan 🙂
