With the temperature dropping around Canberra this weekend, you may be tempted to sit in front of a fire with a good book. But if you fancy venturing out there is a fair bit going on.

A few suggestions from some of the RiotACT team –

Heather Lansdowne is heading to ‘No Lights, No Lycra’ tonight in Griffith (look for her report on Monday) and also suggests The Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase at the Canberra Theatre on Saturday 2nd August.

Samara Gentle likes the look of the Fire and Ice Winter Festival at the National Protrait Gallery on Sunday 3rd August 11am-4.30pm

John Lombard suggests The Burning at The Q Theatre (runs until 10th August)

Josh Mulrine will be at The Documentary Pitch Festival at Palace Electric Cinemas in conjunctions with the Stronger than Fiction Film Festival Saturday 2nd August 12noon Kendall Lane Theatre

Emily Morris is taking her kids to the Disney Princess Festival at Dendy Theatre on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd at 10am.

Have you got anything else to add?
