Our first weekend of Spring and as I write this the sun is shining and birds are singing. This may be short-lived given the forecast of showers, but for now I can talk myself into a beautiful weekend. So, what are some of the best ways to make the most of it?

A few suggestions from our team:

Heather Lansdowne is going to Fash and Treasure at Epic on Saturday

Angela Hutton wont be sweating it out at the Canberra Times Fun Run as planned due to injury, but will will be supporting those involved on Sunday with a hearty cheer.

Emily Morris is taking her family out to the Railway Museum to enjoy some old fashioned steam travel for Father’s Day

John Lombard is heading to the Canberra Theatre for Mozart’s Magic Flute performed by Opera Australia.

Amy Birchall is going to check out the Makers Day at Majura Community Hall on Saturday.

A few other picks:

Chill out at the Vinyl Lounge National Film and Sound Archive 5th September (5.30pm)

Put a bit of pop into your life with Tina Arena at Llewelyn Hall on Saturday night

Get along and support the Canberra Raiders as they take on the Eels for their last game of the season, GIO Stadium Saturday 6th September

Get your groove on to The Ellis Collective at the Street Theatre on Saturday night

Take Dad along to Gold Creek’s ‘Most Wanted for Dads’ day on Sunday, offering free entry to attractions for Fathers
