What's WIN News doing at 7pm?

You’d think a major shift of the local news would get more of a statements but we just get, on the WIN website Now at 7PM.

If it persists one would think the broadcast from Wollongong presented by drunks, crammed full of ads, will get its clock cleaned by the ABC News.

“Northbourne Ave provides a grant entrance to Canberra” – says the Win news reporter who obviously has never driven down it, or else needs a new script for his glasses.

Win News may be worthless for it’s journalism, but night after night you can be assured of a giggle.

Ha ha. This is when I started yelling at the TV…love having arguments with inanimate objects!

Warren Apps goes thru the local TV ratings on Mark Parton’s 2CC breakfast show and he said that two weeks after WIN News moved to Wollongong the show slipped out of the top ten for the first time and has been going down and down ever since. Also, according to the Crimes, the WIN Canberra bulletin is no longer being presented live and is now pre-recorded.

Last figures I saw had Win absolutely bashing the ABC in the ratings, but that was before the Wollongong move. With that plus now putting it in direct competition with ABC, would be interesting to see more recent figures for Canberra.

9 news is now an hour from 6pm so they had no choice but to move it to 7pm really. I think ACA is now shown on GEM, but then it has been on there for most of the year as the the shows with no talent and building skills have been shown in that timeslot.

They moved it to 7pm when they were having extended national news bulletins during the fires in the Blue Mountains. It sort of just stayed that way……

God help the rating when Home & Away returns in the new year………..

Is it just me or have they killed off ACA to achieve this?

They’ll likely put their hand over their heart and mutter solemnly about the decline in ratings as they kill of the “Canberra” bulletin and replace it with something more “regional” – get ready to hear a lot more Wagga, Wollongong and South Coast news.
