After a nerve-wracking W-League penalty shoot-out on Sunday night the better side in the Sydney-Queensland clash won and Queensland took the chance to host the grand final from our own girls in green, Canberra United.

The Liberal Steve Doszpot has now appointed himself the member for soccer and would like you to send messages of support via his office.

But much more important is the question of where to watch the game? It’s free to air on the ABC, but what pubs will have a large committed crowd watching the game?

Considering Doszpot was the President of the local soccer federation for many years, is a life member of that same organisation and ran the olympic football in Canberra he could well be the ‘member for soccer’.

Good on him for supporting the girls.

The Belco Soccer clubs.
