Good news green lovers!

It might be clashing with the santa claus pub crawl but the ACT Greens are having a night of green trivia.

“The ACT Greens are hosting and end of year trivia night extravaganza – celebrating a historic year for the party.

Come along for a fun filled night of great questions, games and prizes, including movie tickets, wine and great Green gifts!

    Details:
    When: Friday 12th December – 7pm
Where: Majura Community Centre – Rosevear Pl, Dickson

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for student/concession. Bookings can be made for individuals or for tables of up to 10 people.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

Bookings are essential! To book call 6247 6305 or e-mail office@act.greens.org.au”

In the unlikely event that vomiting in a civic gutter dressed as Santa (or a back-alley quicky dressed as an elf for that matter) isn’t for you, it’s nice to have alternatives.

Also I’ve just noticed the cute way they’ve shoe-horned “ACT” onto their logo. Cute? Or tacky?

Gungahlin Al,

I just subscribed to their e-mail list online and had no problems. I just went to the site and under ‘receive campaign updates’ (which obviously needs to be changed) I put my e-mail address in and it all worked fine. As someone who has been receiving e-mails from the party for a while (just changed my address – hence why I added my new one) I know that current media stuff and events all come out through that e-mail list.

Hope that helps.

If it was entirely within the triangle, then it could work – looking a bit like tagging on a street sign. But hangin over into thin air doesn’t really work – for me.

Their ACT website remains a total mess and their subscribe to ACT email bulletins page still gets you a 404 error. I wish they’d fix that as I’m sick of getting Greens releases for the whole country, as this is the only way to get anything from the ACT Greens at present.

Come on guys – if you can find someone to organise a social function, you should be able to get core things like media release subs working.

Will the event be carbon neutral?

Very tacky.

Hope they have a good night though.
