Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery in Chisholm

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Chisholm yesterday (Monday 26 January).

Between 3.30am and 4.10am, an autistic man attended the Chisholm shops car park, after receiving a phone call from an unknown person asking him to meet them there. On arrival, the man was approach by two men and two women who verbally abused him. One of the men was carrying a knife and punched the victim a number of times before the other man took his phone and wallet. The two men and two women then fled the location.

A short time later a member of the public assisted the male in contacting the ACT Ambulance Service and waited with him until they arrived. The man was conveyed to Canberra Hospital, where staff contacted ACT Policing.

ACT Policing attended the area of the aggravated robbery to conduct enquiries and seek CCTV footage.

The first male is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 6’ (183cm) tall, with dark hair and a skinny build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

The second male is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 5’ 11” (180cm) tall, with blonde hair and a skinny build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident at Chisholm Shops between 3.30am and 4.10am on Monday (January 26) to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
