The Yass Tribune informs us that there is more to sport in the country than rugby (of either code) and that it is indeed taken seriously. So seriously that a weekend soccer game between the local heroes and Canberra City is labelled a “grudge match”. And they can make as much of it as they like as they won 1-0.
Besides the Brumbies, the Raiders (for half a season) and several of Canberra’s female sporting teams is there any real chance of us wining anything more challenging than a raffle? I mean really, most country folk do physical WORK for a living; we can’t compete with that!
