This just in:
In March of this year, as part of the You Are Here festival in Canberra, we produced two audio tours of the Canberra Centre shopping mall (you can still download the tours: http://youareherecanberra.com.au/mall-stories-downloads/). The tours comprised creative non-fiction, poetry and music from Canberran, Australian and international artists about their local shopping centre.
We’re planning on doing the same thing again next year during You Are Here 2013 (14-24 March 2013).
So we need your writing and music – anything up to 500 words/3 minutes audio – by COB 24 December 2012 in the youareherecanberra@gmail.com inbox. We’re also keen to read your writing on places outside of the mall: cafes, record stores, car parks, public toilets and everywhere else throughout your local CBD. And if you’ve got something else interesting that might fit into this theme/format do let us know – we’re keen to hear all of your ideas, regardless of wackiness.
