The Scribble writers festival

The ACT Writers Centre is hosting Scribble, a festival celebrating youth literature, at Gorman House from 6-7 February 2009.

Scribble will feature Schools Day sessions from 9.30-2.30pm on 6 February and more general sessions for adults in the evening and on the Saturday 7 February.

Scribble will include readings, workshops, a zine fair, a poetry slam, plus panel discussions on publishing, issues in children’s literature and the educational publishing market.

The Festival will feature special guests such as publisher Mark MacLeod, award-winning authors such as Randa Abdel-Fattah, Jackie French, Anthony Hill, Sherryl Clark, Jack Heath, Mark Carthew, Professor Belle Alderman and many others.
