Did anyone else have a power brown out this morning (around 12.30am I think)? Our whole block in the city seems to have had a momentary drop in power.

Not where I was in Braddon.

We had one in Braddon about 8:30 last night.

We had one in Campbell, Funny thing was It was only my side of the street,
Kind of confusing when the fusebox looks fine and the other side of the street is still lit up.

We had a couple of strange power outages a few weeks back on the 40+ degree weekends in Lyneham – everything was working fine EXCEPT for anything that was plugged into the wall upstairs (computers, tvs, air con…). The first time it happened Actew couldn’t explain it, but for the two outages since then they’ve said that a phase went out or something.

Yeah. In Ainslie, the lights went really dim a couple of times.

Someone stuck their fingers in the powerpoint…

Power outage in Aranda around 8:30 last night, less than 30 mins, I went out for food after 5 mins. Been a while since the last one.

I assumed those momentary drops in power happened throughout Canberra. In the Woden area they happened a few times a year until ACTEW announced they’d created a ring of power stations around Canberra, so that if one failed or wasn’t able to to keep up demand the other would take over.

After the firestorm it wasn’t so great with a few power outs every year.

Fair enough then!

Riot has been up and online for over 150 days, so must have been your ISP or something in between?

Is that why RiotACT dropped out for an hour or two?
