The staff and students of iSpin, Canberra’s newest Pole Dancing Studio, will showcase their individual and doubles pole dancing routines to raise money for the Balfour Family Trust and the Queensland Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal, this Sunday night.

Like most people, staff and students at iSpin have been moved by the devastation following the recent natural disasters unfolding around Australia, in particular the bushfires in Victoria and the flooding in Queensland.

iSpin owners Shannon Young and Willow Arthur want to show their support by donating $5 from the sale of each ticket to the Balfour Family Trust and the Queensland Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal.

Willow Arthur, Canberra’s 2007/2008 Miss Pole Dancing Champion, says the staff and students are excited to be involved in raising much needed funds. “We’re aiming for 400 showcase ticket sales, which will allow us to give $1000 donations to each charity”, Arthur said. “The dancers at iSpin are keen to exhibit their talents to get behind these two great causes”.

The iSpin Showcase presents an opportunity for friends, family and the community to support the causes and be entertained by the strength, flexibility and elegance that is Pole Dancing.

The iSpin Showcase will be held at Meche Bar on Northbourne Avenue on this Sunday 29 March at 6.30pm.

Tickets are $15 and available from iSpin Pole Dancing Studio on 02 6231 9166, 0434 621 546 or info@ispin.com.au

wouldnt it be nice if ispin and others acknowledged who taught them, her/their first pole class (which happened to be run by strippers/ entertainers in the ACT that pre dates 2004). I do believe it was miss crystal (former ballerina) from melbourne who gave the girls their first certificate. Isn’t life interesting..

Stick some money in a pole dancer’s g-string if you’re up in the Cross or down near Melbourne’s King Street and ask for a cut of it to go to charity.
