ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to a robbery of a 13-year-old boy in Gilmore yesterday (Thursday 9 August).

About 3.30pm the boy got off a bus in Gilmore, walked through Litchfield Place towards Isabella Drive.

As he got close to the roundabout on Isabella Drive and Hambidge Crescent, he was approached by a man on an orange mountain bike.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 18 years old and approximately 183cm tall, with a skinny build and acne on his face. He was wearing a white hoody with the hood over his head and long pants.

The man kept his right hand in his pocket and demanded the boy hand over a wallet and phone while threatening to “stab him”.

Although the boy did not see a knife and did not have a wallet, he complied by handing over his phone, after which the man left in an unknown direction.

No injuries were sustained during the robbery.

Anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Chisholm Shopping Centre and witnessed the robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
