Summer is on its way. Not into cricket, but want to play a great summer sport? How about baseball!

Rebels Baseball Club (est 1958) has been competing in the Canberra Baseball Competition for over 50 years.

Based at North Curtin Oval, we are keen to recruit new players for the coming 09/10 baseball season. We are looking for Juniors (from U 8 – U 17) right through to Seniors (A,B, Womens and C grade teams).

We have an excellent Junior Development Programme, so if you have a child that wants to play, please bring them along to Rego Day. We will have team members and coaches there, so you can have a look around, and play some ball!

No experience is necessary, as we offer intensive indoor gym based training and conditioning for all senior players as well as on field training. But if you have played baseball before and might want to get back into the sport, here’s your chance.

The Rebels would love to meet you at our two registration days at North Curtin Oval on Sunday 30th August and Saturday 5th September from 11 till 1 pm. More details are at www.actrebels.baseball.com.au

Baseball is to cricket, what checkers is to chess.

Where did I say i liked high scores Jim?

Oh that’s right i didn’t.

If all you care about are high scores you might as well just play your X-Box and ignore sport altogether.

Oh how silly of me,
i retract my statement.
0-0 draws really are exciting and there should be more of them.
I mean its obvious thats what the fans have paid to see.

A 0-0 draw can be one of the most tense, exciting matches possible, though I wouldn’t expect a baseball fan (and, let’s remember, baseball is so exciting they have to have a mercy rule to put everyone out of their misery when it gets too boring even for the players to put up with it)to come anywhere near understanding that.

Ha Ha,

This from the same Joshua who thinks that soccer is an exciting game.

Yep those 0-0 draws are thrill a minute.

Thats just not cricket…

Not into cricket?

I don’t understand what that means.

Baseball. A sport even more boring than cricket.
