Lots to do in Canberra this weekend, including free graffiti workshops for young people, Andy Bull performing at ANU Bar and a family film screening at the National Portrait Gallery. What are your plans?

1. Warehouse Circus mid-year show
Every six months Warehouse Circus celebrates the achievements of its members through a massive showcase of performances. It’s hosting a carnival day at its Chifley training space this Sunday from 10am to 4pm, where you can catch performances by students of all levels, enjoy a barbecue and socialise. More info.

2. Andy Bull at ANU Bar
Australia’s rising master of pop, Andy Bull, is playing at ANU Bar this Friday from 8pm. He’s been nominated for two ARIA Awards, has polled three times in the past two Triple J Hottest 100s and was acclaimed as one of the surprise hits of the Laneway Festival. More info.

See the Brumbies take on the Crusaders at GIO Stadium this Saturday afternoon. With the Brumbies on their home ground, you know they’ll be out for a win. Get along and cheer on your favourite team. More info.

4. Arboretum hosts international bonsai artist Mauro Stemberger
The National Arboretum Canberra is inviting bonsai and penjing enthusiasts, or anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful evening at the Arboretum, to spend a few hours with Italian architect and renowned international bonsai artist, Mauro Stemberger, for a live demonstration on creating a beautiful bonsai artwork. It’s on Friday from 5pm. More info.

5. Free graffiti workshop at Tuggeranong Arts Centre
Learn basic skills in aerosol art and stencil techniques from local graffiti artist Houl at Tuggeranong Arts Centre on Saturday from 1pm. As well as creating individual pieces to take home, you’ll help to create an urban art masterpiece on a ‘legal wall’ in the Tuggeranong Skate Park. More info.

6. Last days to see The Art of Anthropology exhibition at ANU
The Art of Anthropology showcases the work of 28 ANU anthropologists at different stages of their career, working on a variety of topics.The photographs tell stories about a changing world, and moments caught at the crossroads of influences, ages, and cultures. The exhibition runs until Sunday 14 June at the ANU School of Art. More info.

7. Magna Carta 800th anniversary walking tour
Join the National Capital Authority for a volunteer-led walking tour from Magna Carta Place, via democratic landscapes to Parliament House to view a copy of the Great Charter. This includes a viewing of the Charters of our Nation and a brief rest stop at the National Archives, where there is a café. It’s on Sunday from 10am to 12pm. More info.

8. Dancing for Jane presents One at Belconnen Community Theatre
Dancing for Jane is an initiative created by Australian dancer and choreographer Lucy Doherty in memory of her mother, Jane, who passed away from breast cancer last year. One is a story of love, loss and the realization of life’s greatest truths expressed through a journey of contemporary dance. See it at Belconnen Community Theatre this Friday and Saturday. Head to the National Portrait Gallery this Saturday 13 June at 3pm to see a free screening of Bee Movie (PG). More info.

Bring your current craft project to The Makers’ Hub in Macquarie on Saturday and spend the day with other makers: chatting, crafting and having endless cups of tea. Use any stamps, punches or other equipment for free. Everyone is welcome and you don’t need to be a member. More info.

13. Tack ‘n’ Treasure at Pegasus Riding for the Disabled ACT
Pegasus Riding for the Disabled ACT is holding its first ever Tack ‘n’ Treasure sale this Saturday morning to raise funds to purchase new program equipment for riders with a disability. Sale items include saddles, stirrups, bridles, halters, boots, jackets and more. More info.
