The ACT Government wishes to advise residents that the 2014/15 waste and recycling calendar is now available.

Residents can collect a calendar at ACT Government libraries, Canberra Connect Shopfronts and 20 suburban shopping centres across Canberra. Calendars can be mailed out on request by leaving your contact details at www.tams.act.gov.au/collectioncalendar or emailing no_waste@act.gov.au

A new waste and recycling mobile device app, My Waste, is also available for residents to keep track of their collection days. It also provides updates on changes to collection services for holidays as well as an A to Z waste and recycling guide.

The app can be downloaded from the My Waste website at www.my-waste.mobi or via iTunes or Google Play (just search ‘My Waste’) and only takes a few minutes to set up.

Residents in Reid, Braddon and Campbell are advised that their recycling week will change from Friday 31 October 2014.

The waste collection days for these suburbs will remain the same, but the new fortnightly cycle of recycling will be moved forward by a week.

Residents of Reid, Braddon and Campbell will have their recycling collected on Friday 24 October (the current schedule), then Friday 31 October (the new schedule) and then every two weeks after that.

Both the waste and recycling calendar and the full list of participating shopping centres which have the calendars can be viewed online at www.tams.act.gov.au
