ACT Policing has seized an amount of cannabis following a search warrant on a vehicle in Watson last week.
Around 3pm on Friday (August 3), members of ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations and the Specialist Response Group conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near the Antill Street and Federal Highway intersection in Watson.
Police executed a search warrant on the vehicle, and seized approximately two kilograms of compressed cannabis. The vehicle was also seized and taken to the Exhibit Management Centre.
Following the search warrant, the 27-year-old driver and his male passenger were taken to City Police Station.
Police are waiting on the results of forensic sampling before laying any charges.
