3 mobile launches in Canberra

While their website gives no indication of it, apparently 3 Mobile have launched their 3rd gen mobile phone service to consumers in Canberra. Making them the first to do so (Telstra and Optus have been running trials for the last couple of months).

So has anyone seen any 3 handsets for sale anywhere yet?

Well said Spitfire.

“…in Woden Plaza – I mean, Westfield Woden.”

No you don’t. F*ck Westfield, it’s Woden Plaza. If they want me to call it Westfield Woden then they’re outta luck this decade. It’s bad enough that all the smaller shops won’t be able to afford to stay open, but I refuse to bow to their corporate renaming bullsh*t too.
It’s as bad as when companies rename our sports stadiums. Insidious advertising has become more important than any culture we may have gradually built up. Down with corporate renamers!

I’d say that was true regardless.

Yeah…too bad if you live in Dunlop too….*sigh*

I think that Dick smith has one and all phones has them.
My brother just got a job with 3 in Melbourne and a store will be opening in Civic and in Belconnen some time soon.

i long f r the days when all i needed was the capability to answer or make a phone call.

They’ve updated their site. The coverage look pretty good as long you don’t live in south Tuggers. http://www.three.com.au/images/500_v2_Canberra270705_EAB44.jpg

No, but apparently there is a 3 store opening in Woden Plaza – I mean, Westfield Woden.
