30 Megawatts of installed rooftop solar

By johnboy - 10 April 2013 1

The Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission ICRC has released their activity summary of the Electricity Feed-in Scheme.

For mine the big announcement is:

Total installed capacity of renewable generators at 31 December 2012 was 30,149 kilowatts, compared with 28,628 kilowatts at the end of the September 2012 quarter

With more applications rolling in it looks like the industry is alive and well.

Yep ive got mine going in on Friday total installed will be 24 panels for 6KW. I really dont know where this is going because what will happen when energy providers start to loose revenue? Will government step in and redistribute wealth from those who can afford solar power to those who cant and will be paying a premium as power prices go through the roof especially if there revenue does go down.
