ACT Policing apprehended two juvenile males following a burglary at Wanniassa High on Sunday morning (16 October) just before Operation School Safe wound up after the recent school holiday period.
About 4.10am police attended Wanniassa High, Senior Campus, after a report that multiple alarms had been activated at the school. The gymnasium as well as another room had been entered, with property damaged in both rooms.
Two boys aged 16 and 17, were located a short distance from the school. They were arrested and taken to the Tuggeranong Police Station where their parents were notified to attend the station.
Both boys are expected to be charged with burglary and will face the ACT Childrens Court at a later date.
