I forgot to mention the only other European wealth answer we came up with – according to Wikipedia, J is a German mintmark which stands for the city of Hamburg. If that’s right, it’s a bit of a stretch.

Nah, we worked it out. The first and third clues are pretty easy, and once you know the answer the rest are pretty easy. However, we’re stumped on the ‘European wealth’ clue. One wit among us suggested ‘Jews’.

‘First of the sixth and seventh’ refers to months – June and July – first letter J

‘Fifth of nine (now eight)’ refers to planets; the fifth planet is Jupiter, which has the symbol ‘J’; there were nine planets, but Pluto is no longer among them

Symbol of energy is a joule, usually written as ‘J’

‘Represent the law’ refers to judges, who are referred to as Mister Justice in long form, or ‘J’ for short (eg Merkel J)

‘Yet I am (usually) illegal’ refers to a joint of marijuana, or a ‘J’ in slang

How did you know that? Heard it before?

Explain “sign of European wealth”?

Ahh, the philosopher of the beetle world – the Jung beetle 😉

The letter J.

What is the beetle on about?
