Anyone have any further news on the plane crematation that took place a Tralee last night?
Rumour was 2 light planes totalled, 1 partly and another damaged. A fairly expensive evening.

Local TV had a short report on this. Qbn p’lice are investigating, 2 planes were burnt up. Lovely. What a charming society we live in, where peoples’ possessions are fair game to vandals. If you can’t protect it by shooting all comers, it will probably be destroyed.

I didn’t realise there was a little plane field in Hume. The Airport has been elbowing out the little planes since it went into private hands, so I guess they were out looking for new homes. And now some lowlife does this.

On 2CC this afternoon they spoke to the owner of one of the planes that burnt – seemed pretty upset, wasn’t insured because he was trying to sell it

ABC Story here, but nothing new apart from they believe it was arson.

Sorry about the only official news is fromn the NSW RFS website –

Current Incidents in NSW
The NSW Rural Fire Service responds to a range of incidents across the State. This table provides an indication of current activity by listing notifiable incidents being attended by RFS volunteers.

For those who know not, there is an airstrip immediately behind Hume where some light planes come and go. Sounds like there might have been a fire there from this post, but with no further details, no one seems to know.

Remote control planes? Or did some carpenter set fire to his tools?
