Where's a good Christmas party venue?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a xmas party venue in Canberra.

The party is for about 80 unruly patrons, where privacy is important, as well as value for money.

Teatro Vivaldi has great food and atmosphere.

The yacht club will put on cocktail parties in the outdoor marquee which are good. Nice spot by the lake too.

They also have that ferry you can book for cocktail parties – more exy though.

Ant – Do you know the website for Old Canberra House? Can’t seem to find one.

Am not really looking for a restaurant type do, more of a drunken cocktail party style… something nice and relaxed where people are free to make fools of themselves (as happens at work xmas parties!).

Best work party ever was the one I organised, at Old Canberra House, it was a catered BBQ, they did the cooking. Had a paid-for bar (and they stuffed up the account so it went way longer than it should have), but it was private, very pretty, and great fun.

Are you a milf boomcat? :-0

sexynotsmart you drunkard tart!

i am totally having my next xmas party at Legends and going to Holy Grail afterwards.

Christmas-before-last our branch did lunch upstairs at ‘Legends’ Spanish Restaurant. I don’t know if 80 would be enough to secure the entire room, but if you can book it out it’s definitely private.

Value-for-money wasn’t exceptional BUT they did let us bring (and cork!) our own wine. That definitely affects the equation. I think they made their money back on Margaritas, always a crowd pleaser.

Apparently we were kicked out at 5pm, but I was too pissed by then to care or remember anything more. Apart from pashing some milf at the Holy Grail.

murrumbateman winery has a restaurant that also does functions – very good value and makes it easy to ensure that there aren’t any drink / drivers, as you organise a bus to transport all there and back.
