Conspiracy

It is interesting the things that happen here in Canbra. For such a small population we certainly do have our fair share of drama in the suburbs.

ABC reports http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/11/19/2424040.htm?site=canberra a conspiracy to murder. It was alleged that 5 males planned to murder a 17 year old last night in Tuggeranong.

From what I have read in the past, the police and DPP do not jazz up their cases as they tend to only look at fitting charges that will get up in court. So the conspiracy theory must be close to the mark.

You asked which murders haven’t been solved, then make a snide remark when someone lists several. Glad to see you’re on the case.

Well the new laws are not the same as NSW, here the law is still softly, softly, as I was told by Homicide Victims Support Group in NSW, the person was shocked with Canberra’s laws, they were gobbed smacked. It’s a pity they changed the laws a few years back, yet again changed the laws here again, but won’t change an old law that if a person who murders someone before the new law came into force the murder will go under the old law, even if it hasn’t gone to trial, why can’t they change that law? it is so old, now with people up in arms over murderers getting away with blue murder, the people of Canberra have had enough, I believe the new law has come in as a PR, to keep the polies looking good, lol

Over the years it hasn’t been good.

Murder of that bloke in Kingston a couple of months back…… NOT SOLVED..

That girl found in LBG…(lake).. NOT SOLVED..

Taxi driver at MAWSON flats….. NOT SOLVED….

Remember that elderly couple in BELCO…. home invasion.. woman was bashed to death… NOT SOLVED..

There are more… now if you count some bloke stabbing his mother.. they knew where to go, just like the double in Downer this year, and that bloke is pleading not guilty… his team will be going for Terry.

Now if only the cops could solve a murder after it’s happened.

As opposed to solving a murder before it happens…

So which murders haven’t they solved recently?

Oh, I’m pretty sure they have solved all the murders that happened recently.

It’s not the Police’s fault that 57 stab wounds is found to be only manslaughter… That honour goes to our esteemed judiciary.

And yes, unless Police are given the same tools that Tom Cruise had in Minority Report, looks like they will have to keep solving murders after they occur. *rolls eyes*

DJ……… Research. Illegal activities = commit crimes.
ABC News August 8 2008 Story
The ACT Law Society says the Canberra community has nothing to fear from new laws that bolster police powers.

“The Controlled Operations Act passed in the Assembly late this week and allows police to conduct illegal activities as part of undercover operations.”

That is the same bunch that gave the police the power to commit crimes just recently. You must be happy with that vandam. Fortunately there isn’t a murder to solve, in this case.

Police were not given the power to commit crimes – research it before you open you mouth (or type) next time.

abc, you try solving a murder in a territory thats over run by civil libertarians and a labor/green govt that think its inhuman to give Police the power ned alone the resources to investigate a murder.

Does anyone have any background on either the victim or the accused?

Now if only the cops could solve a murder after it’s happened.

I suspect these children have been watching the movie “Heathers” far too much. At least they are failures in EVERY way, and couldn’t manage to pull-off their grand plan.

Maybe they should have taken the “Just how dumb are you?” test advertised on this page….

I think Alex, Alex and Blake (and the 2 underagers) are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Anyone suspect a bit too much dope smoking?

either way this will be a cracker of a story when it ends up in court….

New AC/DC album launched in October and 5 teenagers try and kill another teenager in Tuggeranong in November. Is there a link????????

Anti Christ / Devils Child strikes again!

You can treat heavymetalfever with a huge dose of country music, injected through a record player needle. I hear “Ache Breaky Heart” does the job.

Only Elky can prevent the potentially lethal outbreak of heavymetalfever!

Wow.
That is really scary for kids of such a young age to be involved in something this huge.
so sad and f8cked up.

… and hayfever has been really bad this year.

What if the combination of the new AC/DC album with the hayfever somehow turned into a form of heavymetalfever and transformed them into violent killers?

Just as a stickybeak, but no legal expert…

This is an alleged conspiracy of five, where the older three walk away with criminal records and public naming, but do the younger unnamed two of similar age get their records sealed?

Due to the “crossing of the age barrier” on the conspiracy, do full details get made public as to who planned to do what, who actually did what, etc?

two are younger than 18, 3 older

At least they are over 18 – now hopefully off to the “big house” for them instead of summer camp.

The CT says this is upgraded to attempted murder and the accused have been refused bail. Can anyone shed any more light on this? Why were they going after this kid? What is the background?

In fact I think it was five on one, bloodnut!

three on one and they couldn’t get the job done. hmmm – what’s that phrase the kids use. epic fail.

Whatever happened to hanging out at the park drinking with your mates and hitting on chicks.

Conspiracy charges are not easily laid and don’t occur often.

Where’s Curtain??

Holden Caulfield7:34 pm 19 Nov 08

Their parents must be so proud.

This story looks really disturbing. This isn’t Drama, more crime/action movie. Something has gone wrong here.
