TAC’s two studios are now permanently occupied by internal programs’ offices, but they do have an art room, which can be rented for a small fee (although it is a bit of a thoroughfare).

A shed is the aussie equivalent of a paris garrett (attic). There’s a few spots in Fyshwick I’ve noticed vacant recently, especially the more remote bits around the edges.

Canberra is short of crummy old buildings for studio space. Although some of the empty schools could be put to this use – might even have existing art rooms. There are empty shops at suburban centres too – maybe they would rent you something cheap.
