A couple of recent articles have suggested that buying good local produce is pretty important to some of our readers, so we thought you may be interested in an event hosted by the Food Hub this week.

The Local Food Initiative (a project aimed at making it easier for producers, distributers and lovers of fresh, local food to connect) will be sharing the results of their research and seeking ideas at the Australian Capital Region Food Hub Event on Wednesday 11 June (invitation can be seen below). The event is free and you can try some great local produce whilst hearing about the initiative and sharing your own thoughts and ideas. To find out more, visit www.rdasi.org.au/foodhub

For those who are keen to buy more of their produce locally, but not entirely sure where to start, you may also be interested in the Southern NSW Harvest Association, which includes a digital trading platform allowing members to buy and sell local product. To find out more, visit www.southernharvest.net.au

If anyone manages to get along to the Food Hub event or uses the Southern Harvest trading platform, we would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
