Hi all, I’m looking at writing a new book regarding ghosts and hauntings in the Canberra/ ACT area. As such, I would appreciate any stories anyone has and are happy to tell (and have published, anonymously or otherwise).

At present I have manuscript being edited by Schiffer Books in the US regarding UK ghosts and have signed a contract for another book about ghosts with the same company, which I am currently writing.

Some of you may have read my previous posts regarding my 2012 book ‘A Case for Ghosts’ which was reviewed here on RiotACT a few years ago and, although it looked at a number of ghostly events, generally looked at an overall picture and ranged from Australia to the UK and the USA. I intend this next book to concentrate solely on the Canberra area and upon small, possibly insignificant individual experiences with ghosts.

I should add that I am a sceptical believer in that, although I believe that ghosts exist, I am not convinced that every report can be put down to some supernatural occurrence. Having said that, I find the field fascinating.

People can get in contact with me at my website as well as view my previous publishing history.

Cheers

Early one morning i was driving back from a friends place in Yass to Canberra.

As i was doing down the hill just south of murrumbateman (next to the valencia dr turnoff), I saw what appeared to be a ghost like young adult sitting on the roadside barracade smoking a cigarette. As i slowed down and went past tooting my horn, he did not move, and then when i looked in my rear vision mirror, he was gone.

Didnt believe in ghost until that day. Sent shivers down my spine just thinking about it.
