Canberra has a Ring Road - who knew?!

I think it might pop up due to the “related content” script running. You see some really interesting stories and then realise that they are old.

A little off topic, but matches the title description –

Why does the William Hovell Drive Belconnen traffic heading to Woden/Tuggeranong get mixed with Belconnen traffic heading to Civic?

This has to be a record, reviving a 5 year old article that never received any posting in the first place.

I would have thought that Hindmarsh Dr would be unequivocally Canberra’s main east-west road?

Although a quick look has shown that while Hindmarsh is 14km long, the Parkes Way – Moreshead Dr – Pialligo Avenue route totals 17kms. Several kilometres of that isn’t really in “Canberra” though, to my was of thinking, and doesn’t run particularly east-west.

and Majura road is a pain in the ring….
