Canberrans have embraced the double-shot Nightfest at Floriade this year with thousands enjoying last weekend’s warm evenings among the blooms and light at Commonwealth Park.
The garden bed lights, overhead lanterns and installations from Mandylights illuminated the blooms to create an enchanting ambience to celebrate the passing of winter and the eternal promise of spring.
This year for the first time there is a second serving of Nightfest with Floriade lighting up again next weekend (29 September – 1 October).
More than 12,000 visitors visited the park across the evenings of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, enjoying live music, comedy, roving entertainment, food, wine and local produce.
Local photographer Jack Mohr was on site to capture all the action.
