Two world-class fireworks displays, live music featuring leading performer Paces and food stalls galore will ensure that Canberra’s Civic Square is the place to be on New Year’s Eve.
The family-friendly, alcohol-free event starts at 6 pm with live music and local food offerings. There will be two fireworks displays to light up the skies; the first at 9 pm, and the second at midnight. These spectacular events will herald the New Year in dramatic style.
In demand electronica artist and producer, Paces, will bring the night alive along with performances featuring local artists including Canberra acoustic soul band TuchaSoul, DJ Soul Sister, the Monica Moore Duo, Zackerbilks and the Po Boys.
Make sure you are in Civic Square for TuchaSoul on stage at 9.15 pm following the fireworks at 9 pm. Paces will take you through to the New Year, capping off a great night with the midnight fireworks.
Paces recently released his second album ZAG, which features collaborations with Guy Sebastian, Raven Felix and Melbourne-based producer and vocalist, Nyne.
Local food offerings include the Tikka Stand, Jackos Pizza, Boss Burgers and Limogela, Canberra’s favourite Limousine gelato.
You can party until late and ride home with Transport Canberra’s late night Rapid Services operating until 2 am.
An added feature this year is the $10 discount on Uber services from your bus stop to your home until 3 am. Terms and conditions are available on the Transport Canberra website.
