Ladies (and guys) – here is a great reason to dress up with a splash of red and adorn your favourite hat or head piece in support of the Heart Foundation’s Go Red for Women campaign.
In its 15th year, the annual Spring Racing Charity lunch will be held at The Hellenic Club Woden on Friday September 9 from 11:30 noon to 2:30pm.
‘On the Red couch’ celebrity appearances by women in racing include former World Champion Tri-athlete Emma Carney, former Australian champion cyclist Tracey Gaudry and current Australian swimmer Alicia Coutts.
This year’s lunch will be a celebration for all ACT women (and a few blokes) who completed the Heart Foundation’s Go Red for Women Healthy Heart Challenge and aims to raise awareness among local women that Heart disease is the No 1 killer but is largely preventable.
