Dog of the Week – Patsy
Are you looking for a new bestie? We have the perfect girl for you. Meet Patsy.
In her short time at the shelter, Patsy has shown herself to be a friendly charmer. She is the definition of a lap dog and she’s loyal and loving. While she is quite happy to socialise and meet dogs when she is out and about, she’s a selfish girl and does not want to share your affection or attention in the house with another dog.
Patsy has wonderful manners and she is lovely to walk on the lead; she doesn’t pull and will happily match your pace. Though she has lots of energy, she is also quite happy to be left alone after she’s had her walk.
Patsy is a lovely young girl who really could develop if given consistent guidelines and daily physical and mental workouts. She is also very food motivated, which will help with your training routine with her. She would even happily share a plate of your food.
Come on down to the shelter to meet the lovely Patsy.
Poppy can’t wait to be your new best mate.
Cat of the Week – Poppy
Meet the sweet and a little shy Poppy. She was surrendered to us because her previous owners were moving with the ADF and could not take her with them.
Now that she has settled into life with us, she is looking for her forever home. Poppy loves being around people, but she can get a little overwhelmed when there is lots of noise and movement around, which is often at the shelter.
She would love to live in a quiet and relaxed home environment with people that she can spend her days lazing around in the sun with before curling up cozily at night.
Once she feels settled with you, she will greet you and show you her play time before she tires out and is ready for relaxing again.
If you’re a retired older couple or just a couple that likes the quieter side of life, come to the shelter and meet the lovely Poppy.

Animal viewing hours
Monday to Friday: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday and public holidays: Closed.
