Police are investigating a ram raid at the Majura Park Shopping Centre near the Canberra Airport early this morning (11 November).
ACT Policing and ACT Fire & Rescue were called to the shopping centre complex at about 6 am and found a vehicle on fire inside.
Initial investigations suggest the vehicle was driven through the glass doors near the Muffin Break cafe two hours earlier in an attempt to steal a nearby ATM.
The ATM was located along Majura Road, believed to have fallen from another vehicle.
There have been no reported injuries.
The shopping centre management has advised there is minimal damage and Majura Park is open and trading as usual.
“There is no impact on the office precinct or other businesses in Majura Park,” the social media post read.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour early this morning in Majura Park to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
Local businesses and anyone with dash cam footage are urged to come forward to police.
