A trial date has been set for the police officer alleged to be responsible for the death of 95-year-old Clare Nowland.
Kristian James Samuel White is accused of tasering the great-grandmother when she was holding a knife at Cooma’s Yallambee Lodge on 17 May 2023.
Ms Nowland allegedly fell backwards, hitting her head on the wooden floor. While she was given first aid, she died a week later.
Mr White, 33, formally entered a plea of not guilty to his charge of manslaughter when he faced the NSW Supreme Court on Friday (5 April).
His trial was set for 11 November 2024 and his bail was continued.
