Help! My Mum now listens to 2CA

Something’s going down in this city when it comes to radio stations.

My mum had to give me a lift so i could pick my car up from being serviced. we travelled about 30 minutes and the radio was on in the background. I was humming along to some fairly decent songs when i heard a dj say it was 2ca.

I freaked out and my mum said she’d been listening to that station for a couple of months because she likes the music and was sick of the hard rock on 106. She started listening when her friend turned 2ca on at my mum’s office.

i’m feel like organising counceling for my mum, but she seems happy.

i listen to 104 so 1 don’t know much about 106, but i thought 2ca was an oldies station. has it changed?

[ED: missjill has rather courageously modeled her 2CA t-shirt in an effort to make the station cool]

Two good things mentioned on this thread..

1. The Sports – GREAT band

2. The 2CA album – It was the only place for years that had I could get a track of Jerry Jeff Walker doing “Mr Bojangles” live. I still have that vinyl.. only for that version of that song

Looks as though a 2CA sticker or tee-shirt might become like a Mason-esque Riotact secret handshake equivalent?

2CA is handy on a saturday night when one is drinking to excess. They play just about any music you want – just ring em up and if they have it they will play it.

Well Missjill, as promised I tuned into 2CA this afternoon in my car and it was a nice change from AWAAAAAYYYYEEEE on Radio National. Very easy on the ears and aw, such LOCAL ads! 🙂

lol, good on you i-filed. You’re right, it’s easy on the ear for sure. 🙂

Anyone have any old 2CA t-shirts? Please email me at missjillloves2ca@gmail.com

I can’t imagine what a 2CA sticker says.

Probably something like 2CA 1053 AM dial I suspect. Actually, I might pick a dozen up from 2CA reception tomorrow if I get a chance. That ought to cover the rear passenger window nicely.

I always appreciated people applying a Mix106 sticker to their car. It is a declaration to the world that you are a boring person. I can’t imagine what a 2CA sticker says.

Have you heard of viral marketing? The guys at 2CA obviously think they have and this is a lame attempt at just that.

I think Miss Jill and co. should have a crack at radio personally. I found their posts more entertaining than the people whingeing like the radio was was a shoddy dj contracted to play the tunes at their 21st and didn’t have what they requested.

The commmercial radio stations are trying to do one thing and one thing only. Win you over. Through prizes, interviews, stunts, music, charity or whatever depravity they can use to suck you in. And once they’ve won you over their next task is to keep you listening through the commercial breaks and the songs. If someone sticks around for fifteen minutes, they get a rating point.

Here’s an example of how they do it…

Why do you think the radio always does things for kids with cancer? Because adults with cancer don’t have the massappeal, kids do. Adults don’t ‘test’ that well with the audience. We’re all suckers for sick/dying children.

Radio in Canberra has degenerated into nothing but a cost-saving excercise for the commercial stations and half the problem with the commercial stations is that they are stuck in a very small pond and are trying to be way bigger fish than the pond could possibly sustain. 2CA now resides in an upstairs office in Mitchell, 104 and 106 are based in an old building that resembles a demountable in Crace. Yet the boards and general mangers of these stations are so caught up in their almighty bottom-line that they can’t see the problem, they’re saving cash and it’s still rolling in so no worries.

The average commercial DJ in Canberra would earn about 40 to 45 grand a year, breakfast would earn a bit more (around $55 – $60), the average salary in Canberra for 2007 was about $66 grand. It speaks volumes about getting what you pay for.

And then there’s the music programming done by guys who look at pie-charts, graphs and statistics to see what’s ‘testing’ well. Whatever happened to a ‘good song’?

But let’s not get into music, that’s like talking about religion…

My two cents about commercial radio, you might not like them, I actually hate the station they work for but Scotty and Nige are the real deal as people. Nige is actually FROM Canberra. And both of them are the same guys on air as they are off. I’ve never heard jocks on air be more honest about the industry they are in and get away with it and that’s a good thing. But once they’re off the air or having a bad day, it’s back to the cd for me.
We’re all going to hell and your favourite band sucks.

Ah, bugger. Forgot to check my vinyl which is all at the coast place. Will check when I’m back in two weeks, unless you’re yanking my chain.

Um, loooove the t-shirt and the impression you’ve given it.

As for radio stations, it’s Artsound for me, though I have a conflict of interest!

I agree with artsound, but I don’t get FM in my car, seeing that the wife ferries round the kids in the “good” car, with aircon, rear demister, cd player and FM radio.

hmmm. something wrong there…

for a very strange reason, 1053 is the only channel that is clear as a bell in my car, the others hiss and crackle and pop. (perhaps I should change the valve)

I went through the full range of emotions listening to 2CA today on the drive to work:

1. Pure RAGE AND ANGER when they played a Backstreet Boys track.
2. RELIEF when balance was restored one song later with Huey Lewis & the News.
3. ECSTASY when they completely redeemed themselves for the Backstreet Boys incident with a Supertramp track.

So if anyone noticed a particularly erratic driver on the streets of Canberra this morning well now you know who it was.

I love the ads on 2CA.

Man 1: Uh oh! I need a new drill quick smart but I don’t know where to get one!
Man 2: Why not pop down to Barry’s Drill World where they service all your drill needs? They have drills to suit every occasion. And they’re open seven days!
Man 1: Phew! I just got myself a great drill at a competitive price from Barry’s Drill World. I even got a drill for the kids!
Narrator: Barry’s Drill World, corner of Isa and Gladstone and Barrier st Fyshwick. Open seven days.
Man 1: Whoops, I just drilled a hole in my nob.

Yikes! Driving into Canberra just now I turned on 2CA in the name of scientific discovery (after my two very good Celtic/Afro-Celtic albums were finished). It was only 20 minutes and I survived mostly intact.

The thing is, I don’t know if any longitudinal studies have been done into the effects of being exposed to the likes of James Taylor, Bette Midler*, Supertramp and Richard Marx. (* I loved the way the back-announce was for ‘BettY Midler’!) I just don’t know if I’m prepared to take the risk.

I might suck it up and further my scientific forays with the ‘Easy Nine at Nine’ in the morning…

Mind you, I flipped over to ‘my’ station and that was pretty dire to my ear too!

Huh? If you’re Mum thinks 106 plays ANY hard rock…well, she IS an oldie!

I regularly hear AC DC, Angels, Guns and Roses and even ZZ Top on 106, do they count as hard rock?

Missjill, hah hah hah. I’ll be dreaming of you.

I’d join! i’d join!

But please make it wet.

Hello I-filed, ok, but you questioned the use of the word “fans”, and suggested that people that listen to 2CA are “listeners by default”. Specific to me or not, it is not right to suggest that people only listen to 2CA by default. Do you have proof or is it pure speculation? What’s the bet if I started a 2CA Facebook “fan” club, you’d join, out of sheer curiosity more than anything! There might even be more pics of the t-shirt.

😀

Hi missjill, I was talking in the general not specifically about you …

I-filed said :

2CA ‘fans’ might be a bit strong. ‘Listeners by default’ might be closer to the mark

I-filed, don’t you just love it when someone tells you what you are or are not? No, I’m not a “listener by default”.

I’ve been a fan of 2CA since the late seventies. Can you think of one good reason why I’ve kept a tiny little kids t-shirt with the 2CA logo on it for the past 30 odd years, when all my other kids stuff is either gone, or passed down to other generations.

2CA ‘fans’ might be a bit strong. ‘Listeners by default’ might be closer to the mark – e.g. anything is better than old ravers on JJJ. Dont’ forget ABC local radio 666 – I suspect a few listeners tune in and out between 2CA and 666 on the AM band, depending on whether they feel like listening to reasonably intelligent chat or music, and don’t care if most of the music is bad so long as they get the odd 1968-1975 hit. Cat Stevens aka Youssouff Islam is back in fashion in any case, isn’t he? The FM commercial stations are much too loud and obnoxious to listen to at 7 in the morning, and JJJ is obnoxious full stop. Rusted-on Radio National listeners who still miss the brilliant Peter Thompson might flock to other AM stations next month when the flattest nasal tones in the business return courtesy of Fran Kelly.

I can assure you I don’t work for 2CA. Contrary to what you may think, there are genuine 2CA fans out there that have no affiliation to the station whatsoever.

Holden Caulfield10:36 am 29 Jun 08

I’m not sure what is worse, someone sooking about their mum listening to 2CA or the same someone admitting that they listen to 104. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black thunder comin at ya (insert echo voice effect here…).

BANAL!!!

Are you people talking about the same 2CA that I’ve heard recently? They are pretty bad. And they’re on the AM band.
I have a feeling this thread has been driven by 2CA employees trying to get some more ratings because they are falling in popularity. Alot of peopleI know who used to listen have switched to 106 or ABC because 2CAhas got worse. Specially the breakfast show.

A shop I often go to plays 2CA, and the problem is they play all hte old stuff that got played to death when it was new. Although today they played Kiki Dee’s hit, Amorouse (can’t remember how to spell it). That’s from 1974 and I hadn’t heard it from about then, so that was OK. I wish radio stations would dig out stuff we no longer hear, anywhere. One of the FM stations plays a “cold thirty” sometimes which is pretty good as many of the songs don’t get played any more.

You and Al should get a room.

g-al, not a chance. Last Gunsmoke was smokin’ ……. well done btw.

Like I said, totally mad but very entertaining.

Special G, trrrrust me, just think about other things during the ads.

Melodies, Meaning, Music. 2CA; the new triple M.

Jocoserious, Jejune, Jobbernowl. JJJ, just junk.

“talk-back on 2CC is a no-go zone for me”
Clearly my riveting interviews with them aren’t what’s keeping you there then…

I got curios thismorning and tuned in whilst on a short trip. 10 minutes in the car and all I got was ads so I can’t comment on their music. So after trying it out I conclude that 2CA still sucks.

Deserves a diamond necklace.

The greatest image ever to appear on riotact since the beginning.

Who cares what size they are…..great RACK.

Thanks Vic, I’ll take that as a compliment! 🙂

I-filed, I’m not sure what age group you fall into, but if you want some ‘real’ music, give 2CA a go. Give them a good chance though, there’s always a good mix of old classics and stuff you can either sing or dance to – most of which is recognisable. They’ve stayed true to their fans, and for that, I’ll stick with them.

Recent research suggests that listening or watching large doses of daily news/current affairs can actually impact on your health, so the talk-back on 2CC is a no-go zone for me. ABC news on TV/online fills that gap.

Vic Bitterman3:30 pm 28 Jun 08

Omg, you people are mad but incredibly entertaining. Realityskin, read DD v D v CC v C info above. 😉

OK, back to 2CA. If anyone from 2CA reads this, I’d be willing to bet there’s other people out there with sentimental old 2CA t-shirts. Perhaps you could put out a call for them? And then auction each t-shirt off for charity? My one would have to fetch an awful lot of $$$ for me to part with it though, it’s in great condition.

Back to listening …

la, la, la, time for, a cool change, I know that’s it time for a coooooool change, and now that my life, is so … I know that it’s time for a cool change … “

Great music for both young and old.

There’s already more incentive on this site to listen to 2CA than I’ve ever had from any other station, so without even intending it, I’m sure missjill has confounded every advertising exec on radically high salaries this side of the black stump.

I’d be interested in finding out the relevant patronage levels in coming months.

Oh no, I could hear my mums voice as I read your post. She is just full of wacky little expressions like these.

missjill, and yes on those bra squeezing pics damn it…

missjill, i’m not sure they are DD’s

For some reason I feel like listening to 2CA now.

And I don’t even have a radio.

This is a riot; all this talk about my cup size. Yes, right now they are almost back to normal and sitting in a comfy D bra. Oh my goodness, I hope I didn’t mislead anyone by calling them DD’s when for so long they were! Give me the benefit of the doubt, the t-shirt is realy, really tight; a bit like a boob girdle. BTW, I tried on my old C cup bra this morning, and it was like trying to squeeze a water-filled balloon into an egg carton. Want photos? Just joking. 🙂 The t-shirt pic was supposed to stimulate an interest in 2CA, not my milk-factory boobs, but it’s given me a good laugh, and I thank you for that!

Now, back to the topic at hand, Ten-fifty-three …… 2CA! What’s the secret sound? Any of you oldies got any ideas? They have a pretty good website – thanks DJ!

They are a good full “D” I reckon. Can we leave it at that now?

Special G: I’ve been reading RA since it’s inception but for some reason it’s “Boobs, ducks and I saw a Police officer” that has finally drawn me into active engagement. Probably says more about me than it does about RA.

Back on topic (kind off): I can stand commercial radio of any kind, the ads drive me nuts so I have to agree with You but include all the other ABC run stations along with JJJ. The consequences of this are that I did feel a little socially inept yesterday not to be up with the whole gravy flavoured chip release thing apparently sponsored by commercial radio.

I agree SG they aren’t double d, just d.

Mrs G reckons in that T-shirt from that angle they don’t look like a DD.

Mods – how long till we get an editor?

On the other hand what does the public want from RA – Boobs, ducks and I saw a Police officer once?

Breastfeeding. way to spike your cup size.

DJ – 2CA would be your station of choice yeah? Golden oldies and such or are they too hip and new these days. I will endeavour to check out 2CA again once I can tune in to an AM radio.

Totally agree with You.

Ooo oo Maelinar engage me.

Oh yes: Pub sluts. How current is their HIV test?

@I-filed – more sensible, don’t want to get immediately pregnant, over their ladette phase, and know their way around the sensual regions.

Most boys* look at the plutonic ones as a nice fire, but definetly not a long term investment. A bike that’s been ridden by many quickly dates, no matter how good it looks in the shop.

**DISCLAIMER**
Just a general disclaimer. There’s some dumb people out there, fortunately most of them are in Queensland presently.

MissJill you’ll be pleased to know then that a survey a couple of years ago placed 38-year-olds rather than 20-year-olds as fitting most men’s “ideal woman” criteria! (I don’t know the methodology, or the criteria, just the reported ‘surprise’ result!)

@missjill I suppose it was an oblique compliment. I picked a D from a cup size perspective as a man looks at… well we ALL get the picture without engaging Pandy and Ralph too far down that road. On a professional note, if the idiot fitter is telling you that you are a C cup, they or the manufacturing company producing the bra range is VERY wrong.

Even I can tell you that, and my only qualification in the area is that of avid observer.

Mrs Mælinar has certainly reinforced the complete lack of adequate training in bra fitting services offered in all Canberra establishments of that nature we attended – bring on Trinny and Suzannah.

Then again, there’s natural benefits in wearing a C cup when you are naturally a D, and I’m also all for that. Being above 6″, I get to enjoy a hell of a lot more than people who are still in the 5″ series (advance haha to Thumper, on account of he’s short).

Simply for the record, I am completely against false advertising.

Maelinar, overhang? Thanks, I think. 😉

Sweet dreams all.

Dearest I-filed, the t-shirt was size 10, not my age. I was born in late 1969 which still places me in my 30s. 14C? Thank you, but 14 is body size and C is cup size. I’m a 12 body size and I’m wearing a D bra in the pic. FYI, I stopped giving my little one breast milk recently (yes, she breastfed for 2 years), and now, my milk-filled DD’s are slowly getting back to normal. Too much info I hear you say? Bet you’re sorry you asked 🙂

Pandy, need a dry cleaner my friend?

2CA is my station of choice.

P.S. your not looking from a mens perspective. The overhang on the sides indicates a D, not a C cup – it’s all in the details and the angle of the camera.

Trust me, I’ve been looking at them for a number of years.

@I-filed – based upon the text description, yes.

Feel free to email the admins a surrepticious email from IjustMadeThisUp@hotmail.com or equivalent detailing it pictorially and I’ll give you a better reference chart to go off once they post it.

Where were you chicks when I was single ?

MissJill: “At the risk of sounding like an advert on RSVP, I’m 30s, glossy brown hair, size 12, 12DD “girls”, and I wore stylish jeans, pink cardy, black boots and a touch of make-up. Is that a yummy mummy? Maybe not your regular Pamela Anderson, but, then again, I can build a rabbit pen and my boobs are real. I bet you’re sorry you asked.”

Aw, MissJill, you were age 10 in 1977? I think you’re in your 40s, darls! And your 12DD looks more like a (very nice) 14C … 😉

i doubt it, they’re trying to be hip, and with it..

My curiosity got the better of me Special G. I googled “rate my rack dot com” – my conclusion is that you are evil…

On a side note, does 2CA still play Kenny Everitt skits of Captain Kremin of the Star Corp?

I haven’t heard 2CA in yonks. It’s a very old station. I remember it was old and daggy when the hip, new, rad station started up: 2CC.
106 “hard rock”?!

2CA is great as you’re heading out for a night on the piss. 😛

The only time I can ever thing of JJJ playing “random screaming” is during Full Metal Racket which is only on Tuesdays after 10pm. Other than that, it’s usually a mixture of indie rock, folk or electronica.

All of which have lyrics and a beat.

If on the other hand you like manufactured music which all sounds alike, and the same playlist looping day in and out, then yeah I can see how 104 might be to your liking.

OH i forgot to mention my mother listens to 2CA in the car too!

I can’t say i’ve driven with her for a while though and I can live with it.. not every “oldie” is terrible.

You said :

Sorry I like songs with words and a beat not random screaming, though i have been listening to it when 104 has been broadcasting that kyle and jackie o shit after 6pm, nobody gives a toss about them big noting themselves and big bore for a whole hour, seriously. 2jjj still plays 85% crap though 🙂

associating 2CA and breasts would boost their ratings 10 fold, they might hire missjill to begin a new career.

2ca sucks

And who said that RA couldn’t tackle the tough issues in the ACT… if only 2XX listens and 2CA uses missjill on a large prominent promotion billboard (Tuggeranong Parkway perhaps?).

yay, thanks ED, anything for my favourite station!

2XX is the way to go. Blatantly mad is hardly an accurate descriptor, but I’ll use it for brevity. Just like student radio, but quasi oganised.

And sack that whinging chick who’s slightly nasal on at 4-5 if anybody is listening, she’s the only letdown on account of she talks too much and doesn’t play enough music.

Ah, missjill, what a good sport.

http://www.2ca.com.au/

@Thumper – I’m not

106 playlist now sucks – far too ‘104-ish’. I like newsy talkback, but I recently (ie, last 12 months or so) have found myself flicking stations to 2CA during the (usually awful) musical interludes on 666, and often staying there.

2CA has such a wide selection it’s never boring, plays everything from Michael Buble and Norah Jones to Frankie Valli and everything in between. Pity about 106, but thank goodness there is a GREAT alternative.

Even the ads are less intrusive and more locally informative.

Got the heating on in your house.

oh, a cut and paste of the link works

VIEW AT OWN RISK 🙂

Nothing like a bit of 70’s nostalgia hey?

2CA has Boobs!!!! 🙂

yep, and there we go – what have I done wrong? Anyone? Please?

ok, at the risk of turning this thread into somewhat of a joke (ahihi), here’s my 2CA t-shirt circa 1977 or 78. I think I picked it up at the 2CA stand at the Canberra show, can’t remember. It’s kids size 10, and I ain’t no 10, that’s why it looks awfully tight.

My first attempt at posting an image, what’s the bet I get it wrong. Instructions are only for new posts. Here goes!

Oh my, lets start a support group! 😀

(Mainly, because my mother is old. And will probly murder me if she reads this, ha.)

I vote for an image of Missjill in the said shirt…..

“Ten fifty three 2CA!”

This girl in her bedroom doing her homework
She’s foolin’ with the logarithms, she’s going berserk
One hand has a cigarette resting on the window
The other one’s twiddling with the radio

What did they talk about, the horses drive her nuts
Night time, sounds fine – no if’s or but’s
It’s just some magic, there’s still some fun
If you don’t pay too much attention

Who listens to the radio?
Who listens to the radio?
That’s what I’d like to know
Who listens to the radio?

Guy’s got his transistor wrapped around his ear
He listens to the traffic, it’s not really clear
It crackles, it clicks, it pops, it starts
It’s blastin’ out the top forty charts

AM or FM, I listen to both of them
Listening to the radio since I don’t know when
It was so busy, everyone’s got somewhere to go
In the background there’s always the radio

The Sports

Great band.

I believe this would be a mercy killing as it is clear form from the statement that I must be so disconnect from good taste and dare I say just downright common decency (I have to listen to that trash at work all day) that I’m am no better that than a rabid chipmunk who must be put down.

There’s nothing like a seafood basket (in an actual basket), to show off your coolness factor. Nah. Lawn bowls is only cool if you’re selected for the Olympics.

SimpleShane77, I gather from your name you’re 31 or so. Do me a favour. Play 2CA in your car next time you pick your mates up for the footy, and report back with their reactions. Trust me, they’ll love it. Daggy is the new cool.

I believe this to be true. The dag-factor makes it cool.

My theory for 2CA is as follows:

The 25 – 35 yr old demographic has discovered that 2CA is so uncool that it has become anticool – which is cooler than anything else can possibly be.

But don’t worry – this demographic that are currently embracing that station will turn it off and find something else when they discover that ‘everyone’ is doing it.

Then it’s off to find the next best thing. Maybe Artsound on ABC (in about five years)?

Well, I like 1206 AM talk back radio, but it has one major draw-back COMMERCIALS! Ok, I know they pay for the running of the station, I accept this, but why TF can’t they charge the advertisers more, and have less breaks! Also its the same ones, over & over. One has Tarzan screeming at you, another an annoying old bag rabbitting on about her freaking funeral service, and don’t even get me started about Riv-O-land bloody tiles! I could make further comment about Tarzan and the funeral sevice woman, but it may not get pass the moderators!

well, shane, you were happily humming along, so what gives? what exactly is your point?

oh, a point? what’s that..?

(and for the people bagging out, unless you, too, listen to this ‘two cee eh’ you wouldn’t know what they play to bag out. would you?)

try me. every morning I hear the secret sound, and the joke of the day. better than 104 or 106 toilet humor.

who the hell walks around with a tranny wrapped around his ear? wait – you mean a radio, don’t you?

SimpleShane – you admit to humming along in blissful ignorance, whilst listening to 2CA – for that, you should be shot for musical taste crimes.

Honestly, do people still listen to commercial radio? I thought that since cars had cd players and ipod jacks there would be no need for it any more. Although I do confess to the occasional listen to Radio National or news radio (and no, I’m not a geriatric, not even 30 yet)

Who listens to the radio? The girl in her bedroom now has an ipod, the guy who used to have the tranny wrapped round his ear has the latest MP4…

But which kind of cottonelle Evil ?

Embossed ? What print ?

Is this for æsthetic/decor reasons or just cause she has a complex heiney ?

The horrible stuff that your fingers go through at really bad moments!

Embossed? – Yes. What print? A puppy, I think!

It was cheap at Pak ‘N Save! 🙂

Insult of the day:

“YA MUM LISTENS TO 2CA!!! heheheheh *snort*”

Haven’t listened to 1053 2CA much since I got a car with FM radio. That said, I think that it is better then 106.3. What I find amazing is that a person who listens to 104.7 would have the gall to pick on anyone’s* music taste.

[* – except country music, that is $hit]

Let’s all switch to 2CA now. Crap I don’t even know what frequency it’s on or whether it’s even FM or AM! Oh well…

2CA must really be struggling if it’s resorting to these antics!

Mr Evil – you should buy more Cottonelle toilet paper – your mum is always right.

My Mum likes Cottonelle toilet paper: what should I do?

I switched from 2CA a long time ago and now a regular listener to 106. I have noticed that 106 have changed their music a bit over the lats few months, and I have to say I really like what I’m hearing. My wife and I are in our 40’s, and the music is just what we want. Sorry, i sound like an ad for 106, but it’s been a long time living in Canberra where it was either young music, or really old music so there was no choice for the rest of us.

Good heavens.
This kind of article absolutely -screams- plant or shill.

The shiniest of shiny penny to any moderators who want to actually reinforce rather than dilute the RiotACT brand identity by culling an article and putting in a proper quality control or is-it-on-message? check on articles.

Hey, I’ve been listening to 2CA since 1977 – as a matter of fact, I still have one of their t-shirts (circa 1978). No joke! I do have that t-shirt – yellow and blue logo childrens size 10.

Would you like to buy it? If 2CA’s rating continue to boom, I’ll be selling it on eBay.

I listened to 2CA IN 1977, but no more. I do think I still have a battered copy of ‘1053 2CA: The Album’ somewhere in the bottom of the vinyl collection. Can’t remember the track selection, but I think pina coladas got a run, and at least one track with the word ‘boogie’ in the title, so it’s that sort of calibre.

Pass on the shirt. I’m not 12DD!

Another good example of why RiotACT should go back to people submitting stories through Admin

Why yes…I would also like to give you my credit card number. Which button do I click?

try driving an old car with an am radio, there are no options…

Shoot your mum. There is no hope.

Remember the post from a Myer employee the other week? Similar story here. Note the one deliberate spelling error and correct comma placement. This is a viral ad.

Help! People have different music taste than I do!

i used to jerk off over Dolly back in the day

So is it the case now that any idiot can post a story?

What next, advice for teens a la ‘Dolly’ magazine?

I’m not old and I listen to 2CA. Its the only way I can avoid hearing Nickelback & Coldplay.

You freaked out because someone listens to 1053?

“Go take a step outside see whats shakin in the real world”

I love 2CA, they play a good mix of stuff. I’m not old.

> hard rock on 106

Huh? If you’re Mum thinks 106 plays ANY hard rock…well, she IS an oldie! My Dad once called Ben Harper “heavy metal”. Dad, you’re old.
