2. Moving back to police media releases. Rambo has been caught in Kambah:

ACT Policing has arrested a 32-year-old man after searching a Kambah property yesterday (September 18) and allegedly locating a number of prohibited items.

About 8.20am yesterday, police attended the Crichton Street address to execute a search warrant.

Inside the premises police located and seized numerous prohibited weapons including home-made extendable batons, a crossbow and firearms as well as ammunition.

Police also located an undisclosed amount of cash, a white substance suspected of being crystal methylamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

The man has been charged with a number of drug, weapon and ammunition offences. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (September 19).

3. A learner driver is alleged to have been exceptionally naughty:

ACT Policing will summons a 20-year-old Holder man on drink-driving and traffic charges after he was breath-tested on Adelaide Avenue in Deakin early this morning (Friday, September 19).

Police were conducting random breath-testing in Deakin around 12.20am today when the driver returned a positive reading to a roadside screening test for alcohol.

The driver was found to hold only a learner driver’s permit, he was unaccompanied by a licensed driver, and his vehicle did not display L plates.

He was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.213, or more than ten times the prescribed 0.02 limit for a special driver.

The man will face charges on all four offences and will be summonsed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on a date to be fixed.

4. And a Dunlop man is alleged to have tried to do drunken runner when he should never have been behind the wheel:

A 22-year-old Dunlop man will face the ACT Magistrates Court on traffic offences following a pursuit yesterday (September, 18).

About 5.20pm, police received information from the public that an orange Holden Commodore had been seen driving in a dangerous manner.

Police located the vehicle and followed it at road speed, before the vehicle commenced to park on a nature strip on Branson Street, Dunlop.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the vehicle allegedly drove off the nature strip and sped off.

A short pursuit ensued through several streets in Dunlop before the vehicle stopped near the intersection of Branson and Polilight Streets and the driver allegedly fled on foot. He was apprehended a short time later.

The 22-year-old will face the ACT Magistrates Court today on drink driving, drive whilst disqualified, drive an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and fail to comply with police direction.

5. Poilce are looking for help in an odd assault:

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault on a 62-year-old Wanniassa man which occurred sometime between 3pm and 4pm yesterday (September 18).
