A bit cheaper for the Rugby?

As much as I love the Brums, shift work is a cruel task master…but finally a weekend off!

The Reds match should be a cracker, but oh the prices with the extra ticketek charge & their handling fee!

Do any of the clubs around the ACT do discounted rates for tix as I’ve seen the various Raiders Clubs do for the NRL? I’m not expecting a corporate box but inner bowl would be nice.

Cheers!

Might like to check the pub though. Their burgers aren’t all burgers 🙁

Ain’t that the truth. The slop that was served at the Duxton on Saturday night was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen come out of a commercial kitchen! A burger is not 2 pieces of toast with what looked like a cheesy stroganoff in the middle.

The quality of food is just as bad when they are not busy. They are definitely taking the piss providing that sort of slop to the public.

I haven’t tried the burgers but I’m a big fan of what they’re doing with the pizzas myself.

You should be right to get an OutInDeal. $20+ gets you a burger at pub and general admission.

BTW, the handling fee (while it sucks) is $5 for the ezyticket. And that is for all tix you buy, not for each ticket. As I said, it sucks, but it’s not the end of the world. If you buy a ticket at the gate I think there is no extra fee but I could be wrong!

How do they get away with a $5 charge in order to email something to you, that you have already paid (probably significantly more than $5) for? Especially when registered post is only about an extra dollar.

I know. It’s a bit rich really! The three options for buying online are:
Ezyticket ($4.95 for them to be emailed)
Mobile ticket ($5.95 for them to be sent to your smartphone to be used as a virtual ticket)
Pickup at ticketek/gate ($6.95)

So you can’t even waive the ‘delivery fee’ if you go see them in person at the Ticketek office. Then again, that may be if you purchased online and are just picking them up. I’m not sure if you pay a ‘delivery fee’ if you go to the office to pick and buy your seats (without using the ‘net)? It’d be sad if you did!

Anyway, with a free bus ride and an inner bowl seat ($22-$45), I think it’s a good night out for not too much! And there are cheaper seats than that. It’s the drinks and food that’ll get you!

Dickson Tradies did cheap tickets for the early season games, could try them?

What #1 said is a cheap way.

See https://www.action.act.gov.au/brumbies.html for bus info.

Also, if you are a UC alumni you can get tickets cheaper ($15 I think for terrace). And I think UC student tickets are $5?

I’m not sure what Ticketek are charging, but check out http://www.outindeals.com.au/

They’re doing a ticket + burger at one of 7 establishments around town before the game for $20. A mate and I did it for the Waratahs match and thought it was great value. Got a fantastic burger from Gryphons in Griffith. The ticket gets you a seat in the bowl.

Quite a few of the places you get your burger from have shuttle busses heading out to the game too.
