A city with no shortage of signs

WARNING- Increased prevalence of signs ahead.

Reminds me a bit of the stretch of Coppins Crossing Road road just near the intersection with Uriarra Road.

Except in the photo here, it looks like all the signs are properly secured to stable poles, rather than being allowed to flap around in the breeze so that you have no idea which direction they’re meant to be pointing!

And if those signs were not installed you would have people on here complaining about it. Public liability, Workcover and Australian Standards are the reason for each one of them and I don’t see any redundant signs there at all.

There probably should be a sign warning about the danger posed by all the signs.

Also, does the 40km/h limit in construction zones apply on cyclepaths?

Re: this area, it’s also interesting that they built this new permanent ‘detour’ bike path a few months ago so they could put in the new pond at the bottom of Weston Creek. Then, this week, they dug up a large section of this new bike path so they could put in a road of some sort? This meant the new ‘detour’ bike path had another dirt detour on it for at least a day (I only went that way once this week). There were two guys (one at each end of the dirt detour) all day holding up ‘Slow’ lollipop signs for cyclists…..
I just wonder if a bit of extra planning and thought originally could have got this all done in one go – a few months back when the new path was being built? (I’ve got no issue with them inconveniencing cyclists while they do the new work, but it seems a waste of money to do things twice?). Anyway, i’m sure it’s all fixed and fine now!

Are there any cyclist-sized dents in the fence at the end?
