A clear and lucid response from the Rise Up Australia Party

By johnboy 27 August 2012 29

We’ve just had the following in via the contact form from the Rise Up Australia Party which we take great joy in presenting in its entirety:

From: Philip Bruce Heywood
Subject: Wish to submit a comment.

Message Body:
I have attempted at length but not to the length of paying money to get onto your blog. Twenty bucks, make it simple, I might join.

Allow me to quote from the top of your rules and reg’s.
“The-RiotACT.com expects and welcomes contributions that stimulate debate and discussion. While encouraging vigorous debate, we expect all participants to treat each other with respect and courtesy.”

Let’s follow this with a quote from your header on R.U.A in Canberra:
“Another Bunch of Spite Filled Nutters to Watch for as Rise Up Australia gets Local.”

The comments which attend the “Spite Filled Nutters” post display an i.q. somewhere between twenty minutes of smoking hashish and a night on the bottle. Unless I did miss something, which is possible, since I wasn’t reading for detail.

Respectfully suggest you put the following up somewhere. Don’t worry, I’m here to speak to it. Drop on over the FURIOUS PURPOSE and type in a few relevancies such as my full name and Catch the Fire Ministries or Misrepresenting Dawkins or Judeo Christian Heritage, etc.

You practice free speech? Democracy? Balance? Quite possibly, you do. O.K., prove it. The following is lifted from FURIOUS PURPOSE. You could employ it for balance. Regards, P.B.H.

I am nothing more than a member of RISE UP AUSTRALIA PARTY and I hope I am not getting in their way, publishing my submissions to them. These submissions have been sent in some measure to all the parties. Danny Nalliah is way out in front. It is blindingly obvious that welcoming worldviews of discrimination and religious racism into any nation can only have one result. The people running the country have not been watchful over its welfare. Our home-bred squalling banshee anarchists haven’t been helping. In short: import genocidal Africa or religiously racist Arabia or the bomb happy IRA into the nation in great quantity, and what does the nation become? The queerest aspect of the whole scene is the blindness of the said “correct” banshees, intent on expelling God and decency. They will get God, all right – five times a day, the Scribe and Pharisee Brigade. And burka’s, finally, to cover themselves. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Just stand by and import the blood soaked world of Allah’s bigotry and religious apartheid – in the name of humanity and tolerance! Trample the safeguards of the Australian Constitution, deny the worldview that bought us free speech and tolerance, get so correct as to be more correct than correctness itself.

Rise Up Australia is ‘on the money’. We need to re-discover the basics. These basics are enshrined in our Constitution and in the teachings of all humane, clear-thinking people: especially, in the teachings of Jesus Christ. As the Pastor has said, We need to love Islamics, and pray for them. That does not mean we are to embrace the doctrines of inhumanity and destruction. Australia has drifted so far from common sense and the real world, we need to remind ourselves of the real world.

Submissions: Economics; Education; Law; Environment. Notes on: Climate Change, Childrearing (touching Corporal Punishment), Democracy, Marriage Concepts.

Australians don’t actually have rights. No right to free speech, no right to bare arms, no right to anything except taxation. We’re little more than a low security penal colony, but no one cares because its such a nice prison.

Section 116 gives us freedom of and freedom from religion.

Of course, it has been interpreted so narrowly as to be barely non-existent. The government can still foist religious (Christian theology) courses into their public schools, was still able to discriminate against indigenous religious practices, was still able to force religious war objectors to fight, and can still force JoHos to give their kids blood transfusions.

Reading through the list, it is clear that, as with many constitutional freedoms, full and unmitigated access to an apparent ‘freedom’ brings its own sets of issues. The courts are correct in overriding the irrational beliefs of a child’s parents when that child’s life is at risk because of their irrational beliefs.

I for one welcome our absence of a bill of rights.

Bloody hell, it’s surprising to see some some very old-fashioned anti-Irish bigotry amongst all the post-modern anti-Muslim stuff that passes for bigotry in Australia these days, including in this post.

Overall, I give this effort a score of 8.5 on the Ted Nile scale of abusive incomprehensible gibberish, and I encourage the OP (well, the bloke who tried to be on OP but failed), to keep up the good work.

No right to bare arms? That must be why the topless are always so angry. 🙂

As for me, I spent years struggling for the right to arm bears, until I also discovered I’d misread that part of the US constitution.

Reads like someone who has watched too much American media and is now set on defending the constitution. Its doubtful they have even read the Australian constitution, if they had they’d realise it is woeful and provides us less protection than a condom made of barbed wire.

Australians don’t actually have rights. No right to free speech, no right to bare arms, no right to anything except taxation. We’re little more than a low security penal colony, but no one cares because its such a nice prison.

If our culture faces any threat of “invasion” from Islam, it has more to do with our own dysfunctional society than even the most outrageous Muslim extremists.

The best defense against insanity is sanity, not intolerance.

Johnboy, please take his twenty dollars. It is the only good that can come of this (aside from offering us all endless amusement).

…. I bet the $20 the cheque will bounce

I find the syntax used to call other commenters on this site befuddling .As ready and willing to participate in the translation, do not say many thanks

I can’t, but I display “an i.q. somewhere between twenty minutes of smoking hashish and a night on the bottle”!
Hahahaha!

The irony being, of course, that this was written by a guy who wasn’t smart enough to figure out how to sign up to RiotACT for free.

Also, I’m hoping that “Childrearing (touching Corporal Punishment)” doesn’t mean what it sounds like it means.

Hahahaha! Wow, did 3 or 4 people write this by alternately contributing random sentences? Surely there is no other reason for it being this disjointed?!
Can anyone make sense of it? I can’t, but I display “an i.q. somewhere between twenty minutes of smoking hashish and a night on the bottle”!
Hahahaha!
