Both Senator Kate Lundy and Member for Fraser Andrew Leigh appear to be remarkably on-message when it comes to this week’s horror budget for Canberra.

Kate says it will make us stronger, smarter and fairer.

And what do you know, Andrew also says it will make us stronger, smarter and fairer.

So pull out your vocoder and you too can sing along!

(Gai Brodtmann never appears to do much and remains true to form.

The Thick of It – sadly now at an end – was so much more entertaining than the plonkers we elect.

Sadly this has been one of the problems with this government. The repetition of mindless, moronic and ultimately meaningless statements has driven voters off in droves.

It’s hardly a problem solely with the party in power: “Stop the boats”, “Great big new tax” blah blah blah

They pull this crap because (surprise surprise) it works. “If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it.”

Hahaha! The current one the oppn are running with re: the budget is that it is ‘Dishonest’ and the Govt can’t be trusted.

It’s been mentioned ad nauseum since Tuesday.Though, there is certainly an element of truth to it!

Yeah. It’s a good thing the Libs don’t do that, isn’t it.
